Reimagining Fairy Tales for a New Generation, which aims to support a dialogue to change the ways society thinks about women’s and girls’ roles, human potential, and rights. The initiative will explore the role of fairy tales in the cultural struggle over gender equality and feminism. WoEgypt hosted a two days’ virtual event with the participation of renowned children's writers, illustrates, publishers and book store managers. The event was streamed LIVE. The guests discussed gender stereotypes, female images and representation in children's books, their influence on girls and how to change them.
Because empowered women empower women, Women of Egypt, under the auspices of the National Council for Women, co-organized The Power of Her Event, to celebrate the success of women across various industries. The network event included workshops, panel discussions and Inspirational talks from iconic women leaders, entrepreneurs, athletes, white collars and decision makers.
